Impressive Resume
Kershaw retired at the end of the 2025 season after 18 years in a Dodger uniform. The 2011 pitching Triple Crown Winner and 2014 Most Valuable Player is one of the best pitchers to toe the rubber on a Major League mound. The left-hander Wins Above Replacement rating tops all starters in the modern era. His workload in later years were abbreviated by injuries later years. Major shoulder surgery and an injury to his toe caused Kershaw to miss significant time, However, in his final year. he not only acquired his third ring in six years, but also joined the 3000 strikeout club. He accomplished these milestones while maintaining an Earned Run Average under three. He also pitched out of the bullpen during the postseason for the first time in his illustrations career.
Broadcast Excellence?
The jury is still out on whether his on-the-field success will translate to the studio. He has joined Dodgers broadcasting partners Joe Davis and Orel Hershiser from the dugout for in game interviews. The left-hander displays an in-depth knowledge of the game with an engaging conversational tone. His sense of humor doesn’t hurt either.
To Be Determined
Nothing is set in stone. Kershaw has yet to respond publicly to the report. No doubt, he is adjusting to his role as a father of five. If he does take this new studio role, and his excellent baseball resume is matched in any way to his broadcast role? Baseball fans are in for a treat.
