This is not good news.
Cubs outfielder Cody Bellinger hit the outfield wall going after a fly ball Tuesday night. Here’s how it happened [VIDEO].
Today, we learned that was a lot worse than it looked:
Craig Counsell said on @670TheScore that a CT scan this morning revealed a fracture in one of Cody Bellinger’s right ribs. He’ll go to the IL, and Pete Crow-Armstrong will be recalled.

PCA hasn’t hit well thus far in 2024 at Triple-A Iowa: .203/.241/.392 (16-for-79), though with five doubles, two triples, two home runs and five stolen bases without being caught.
There’s no lineup yet for tonight’s game but at this point, the Cubs likely have to give PCA an extended look, playing center field every day, with Mike Tauchman in right. There’s no sense calling PCA up to sit on the bench.
Who knows? Maybe he’ll surprise all of us.
And here’s to a quick recovery for Bellinger.
