Chicago Bears defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett and his wife, Kasharah, in April paid $1.399 million in an off-market deal to buy a six-bedroom, 4,791-square-foot house in Waukegan from former Bears offensive line coach Chris Morgan and his wife, Holly.
The Bears hired Garrett in February. He had spent last season working as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive line coach. Meanwhile, Morgan, who had been the Bears’ offensive line coach for the previous three seasons, left the Bears in January after new head coach Ben Johnson was hired. He now is the assistant offensive line coach for the Denver Broncos.
The house that the Garretts bought from Morgan is inside Waukegan’s corporate limits, but has a Libertyville mailing address. Built in 1998 and set on a 0.75-acre lot, the house recently was updated and has hardwood floors, a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen with an island and quartz countertops, a mud room, a first-floor primary bedroom suite and a heated, five-car garage with plenty of space above it.
The home also has a finished English basement with a custom bar.
Garrett did not respond to a request for comment.
The house had a $36,158 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
