A man was killed and two others injured when a pair of gunmen entered a Woodlawn business and opened fire, according to Chicago police.
The victims, men aged 25, 31 and 40, were inside a gas station in the 800 block of East 63rd Street just before 4 p.m., when the gunmen entered and fired shots, police said. A 6-year-old boy was also reported injured by flying glass, but wasn’t otherwise injured, police said.
The 31-year-old man suffered numerous gunshot wounds to the body and was taken to the UChicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the death but withheld his identity pending the notification of his family.
The 25-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to UC in good condition, while the 40-year-old victim suffered a graze wound to the head, according to police.
Police had made no arrests.
