Send Valentine’s balloons to DuPage Care Center residents
Community members can send balloons and Valentine wishes to residents of the DuPage Care Center in Wheaton as part of an annual Valentine’s Day fundraiser.
Heart-shaped helium balloons are being sold for $5 to line the corridors and decorate rooms at the center, officials said. They will be delivered to residents by volunteers and staff, a news release said.
In past years, the public sent nearly 1,000 balloons to help the residents celebrate holiday and brighten their day, officials said.
Donations will be accepted until Feb. 11 at the DuPage Care Center Foundation’s website, www.dpccfoundation.org.
Proceeds will go to the Resident Recreation Fund, which provides programs and activities for those living at the center, which offers long- and short-term rehabilitative services to DuPage County residents.
