The Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora on Monday announced the lineup of shows for its 15th Broadway Series set to begin in August.
Paramount’s 2026-27 season will open with the Chicago-area premiere of the musical “Mean Girls,” directed by Devon Hayakawa, from Aug. 26 to Oct. 11, 2026, according to a press release from the theater.
That show will be followed by what Paramount officials said would be a “new, reimagined version” of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” adapted and directed by Trent Stork, from Nov. 11, 2026, to Jan. 3, 2027.
Next up will be “Sunday in the Park with George,” Stephen Sondheim’s Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning show, directed by Trent Stork, from Feb. 10 to March 28, 2027.
Paramount’s 15th season finale will be “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” to be directed by Matthew Silar, from April 28 to June 13, 2027, the release said.
As always, Paramount’s over 40,000 subscribers will be given the first chance to secure their seats for next season. And just as it has since it launched its first Broadway Series in 2011, Paramount will still offer the same “Buy Two Shows, Get Two Shows Free” offer, with four-show packages starting at $73, according to the release.
Broadway Series renewals begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, theater officials said. During the renewal period, new subscribers can also order subscriptions and queue up for the best seats, after renewing subscribers receive theirs, the release said. The renewal period ends Sunday, March 29.
Single tickets for the Paramount’s 15th Broadway Series go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 15, according to the release.
