The White Sox have signed right-handed pitcher Anthony Patterson III to a minor league deal, per the MiLB.com transactions page. The Clarksville, Tennessee, native has since been assigned to the ACL White Sox.
Patterson III got his start collegiately at Central Alabama Community College and Cumberland University before transferring to Georgia Gwinnett College. The righty turned in a standout senior season in 2025, posting a 7-3 record with a 2.52 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 75 innings, including multiple complete games and a one-hitter at the NAIA level. Recognized with conference Pitcher of the Week honors during the season, his performance helped lead Georgia Gwinnett to a CAC tournament title and an NAIA World Series appearance.
Though he went undrafted this past summer, Patterson III recently participated in a pro day and received interest from several scouts in attendance. Tread Athletics posted a video of the bullpen session that landed him his first professional deal with the Sox.
Our entire team at Sox On 35th would like to congratulate Anthony and welcome him to the organization!
