San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall has been battling injury on and off throughout the 2025 season, and his latest ailments could force him to miss the first round of the playoffs. The 49ers recently released their injury report and listed Pearsall as questionable with knee and ankle injuries, even though he missed the entire week of practice.

Ricky Pearsall Injury Update: 49ers WR Questionable (Knee, Ankle)
While players typically don’t suit up after missing three practices, recent history has established a precedent for this sort of thing. 49ers tight end George Kittle missed every practice leading up to the team’s regular season finale against the Seattle Seahawks, but still managed to play and even recorded five receptions. Seeing as this is the playoffs and the season will end with a loss, it’s safe to assume Ricky Pearsall will play if he’s physically capable of getting on the field.
While injuries limited him to just 11 games, Ricky Pearsall has been one of the team’s more reliable weapons when on the field. Establishing himself as a key part of the passing attack, the Florida product finished his second season with 31 receptions for 400 yards and three touchdowns on 46 targets. As a rookie, he recorded 36 receptions for 528 yards and no touchdowns, while a gunshot injury limited him to just nine contests.
Thanks to their Week 18 loss, the San Francisco 49ers will face off against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. While the team hasn’t been quite as dominant in 2025 as they were in 2024, they still have a talented roster and won the NFC East with an 11-6 record. Tight end Dallas Goedert, who battled a knee injury of his own, is off the report and will play.
