The Chicago Bears will finish the regular season with a 3:25 p.m. matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Soldier Field. The game will air on Fox-32.
The NFL announced the Week 18 slate immediately after the Bears’ 42-38 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
The Bears (11-5) can lock up the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs with a victory over the Lions (8-8), who are out of playoff contention. The Bears already clinched the NFC North title thanks to the Green Bay Packers’ loss Saturday night.
If the Bears lose to the Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) beat the Washington Commanders on Sunday (3:25 p.m., CBS-2), the Eagles would be the No. 2 seed and the Bears would be No. 3. The Bears own the tiebreaker thanks to their 24-15 victory Nov. 28 in Philadelphia.
The Bears and Lions last played in Week 2 on Sept. 14 in Detroit, with the Lions cruising to a 52-21 win in Bears coach Ben Johnson’s return to Ford Field.
