Eagles Mock Draft Has Team Landing an Offensive Weapon

December 20, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

The Philadelphia Eagles own a 9-5 record and are in first place in the NFC East. While their main focus is winning a second consecutive Super Bowl, it’s not too early to think about the NFL draft. Eddie Brown of the San Diego Union-Tribune came up with a mock draft. He has the Eagles drafting Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq 21st overall:

“21. Philadelphia (9-5) – Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon, Jr.

Sadiq isn’t in the same class as Brock Bowers or Tyler Warren as a prospect, but he’s an impressive athlete who has showcased downfield playmaking ability and has legit upside as a run-blocker in the pros. The 6-3 Sadiq came to Eugene two years ago at 220 pounds, but bulked up to 245. According to Bruce Feldman’s list (No. 11): “He vertical jumped 41.5 inches this summer, power cleaned 365 pounds and bench pressed 435.”

The Eagles need help at the tight end position, and Sadiq would be a great addition to the team’s offense.

His Career Thus Far

Kenyon Sadiq attended Skyline High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho. During his junior year, he helped lead the school to an IHSAA 4A state championship. The following year, he caught 79 passes for 1,166 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Sadiq was rated as the top recruit in Idaho. He then received college offers from schools like Michigan, Washington, and Iowa State. He ultimately chose to play for the Oregon Ducks.

Sadiq played in all 14 games for the Ducks as a freshman. He caught five passes for 24 yards and a touchdown that year. He found the end zone for the first time in his career during the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.

As a sophomore in 2024, Sadiq recorded 24 receptions, 308 receiving yards, and a pair of touchdowns. He also rushed for 24 yards.

The 2025 season has been a breakout year for Sadiq. He has caught 40 passes for 490 yards, and eight touchdowns (all career-highs). Those numbers made him a finalist for the Mackey Award (top tight end in the nation). However, he wound up finishing second to Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers.

Should the Eagles Draft Kenyon Sadiq?

This offseason, Eagles tight ends Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, Kylen Granson, and Harrison Bryant are all facing free agency. With that said, the team must address the position. That’s why drafting Kenyon Sadiq makes a ton of sense.

Sadiq is widely considered the top tight end prospect in the 2026 draft. He can stretch the field and create mismatches. He also provides athleticism and red-zone value to the offense. In addition, he makes a serious dent in the run game with his overpowering blocks.

This offseason, the Eagles could make some major moves like trading wide receiver A.J. Brown. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has struggled to develop chemistry with Brown and other pass-catches this year. Drafting a talented tight end like Kenyon Sadiq could also be in Philly’s plans. Yes, the team should take him if they get the chance as he provides Hurts with an offensive weapon.
