The Chicago Bulls are pulling back on Lonzo Ball’s rehab from knee surgery. Ball won’t be completely shut down, but he won’t do any running for the next 10 days.
Ball has been out of the Bulls lineup since January 15. Shortly thereafter, he had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. At that time, Ball was also diagnosed with a bone bruise. It’s the bone bruise that is causing Ball issues now.
For now, Chicago isn’t ruling Ball out for the season, but head coach Billy Donovan did acknowledge they are running out of time. If Ball can’t run for 10 days, that will take him to the end of March. From there, it’s unknown how much time he would need to be able to get into playing condition. The regular season ends on April 10.
